Mozelle Marks expresses her visions in impressionistic painting of everyday people and places. She strives for the viewer to have an emotional connection to her art

Statement

My goal in painting is to express a moment in time that connects with the viewer in an emotional way. I approach my art as a universal language that illustrates the cutural richness and diversity in our world. My paintingsof people and places span from close to home to the larger world around us. I choose subjects that have meaning to me and work to express those feelings in every painting. I strive to relate my feelings to the viewer in color and detail.

Biography

Mozelle Marks is a life long Austin resident. She studied art at Texas School of Fine Arts and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with emphasis in fine arts, architecture and interior design. She now pursues painting after many years in the field of design. She continues studies at The Contemporary Art School and online courses. She had been resident artist with studio space at the Marketplace Art Gallery until it's closing. She currently is resident artist at Gallery at Regard Jewelry. She also exhibits her art at numerous locations throughout central Texas and online galleries. She is a member of several art oganizations and has participated in many exhibits and juried shows.
